Panama finds that the Chinese firm controlling key ports violated the terms if their contracts, opening the door to the revocation of the contracts.  In December, Chinese Communist Party officials admitted to their American counterparts that they conducted cyber-attacks against critical U.S. infrastructure in response to American support for Taiwan.

PRC State-media outlets are pushing hard to downplay the negative effects U.S. trade actions may have on the Chinese economy, just as the PRC appears to be shifting its manufacturing overcapacity to dump goods on other markets as the U.S. takes action to protect its markets.
