Digitization Services
Overview
To meet the needs of our researchers, the Library & Archives offers digitization services in the form of reference imaging and high-resolution digitization for a fee. Requests must be made through Aeon, the Hoover Institution Library & Archives’ online request and reservation system, and are filled in the order they are received. Digital files created through this service may be ingested into our Digital Collections site and made freely accessible online and/or in our reading room after direct delivery.
Reference Imaging
Reference imaging is a complimentary service for scholars who cannot visit us in the reading room and are looking to advance their research.
High-resolution Digitization
We offer high-resolution imaging for publications, productions, and other projects. Review our service rates and supported formats in the table below or download a printable version.
Digitization Service Rates
Submit all digitization requests using Aeon and allow two weeks for invoice processing. Advance payment by credit card in U.S. funds is required. Once payment is received, digitization takes four to six weeks (moving images may take longer). Digital files created through this service may be ingested into our Digital Collections and made freely accessible online and/or in our reading room after direct delivery.
Images are delivered electronically. Existing files may not fit these file specifications, please contact us with questions.
