Cyberspectives

Cyberspectives is a regular podcast produced by the Hoover Institution in conjunction with the Stanford Cyber Policy Program. Cyberspectives provides insights and analysis on the technology, policy, legal, and geopolitical issues relating to cybersecurity.

In a world in which nearly all information is digital and nearly all devices will be connected, the technology/cybersecurity intersection has never been more important. Emerging technologies in areas including artificial intelligence, robotics, and next-generation communications systems are raising a host of new security challenges. In addition, the security issues associated with legacy systems and critical infrastructure are rapidly evolving.

Cyberspectives provides contextualized analysis regarding the broader technology landscape and the accompanying cybersecurity challenges. It is aimed at policymakers, academics, legal and technology professionals, and others with an interest in the solutions that can help ensure a robust, thriving digital ecosystem.

About the Moderator

John Villasenor is on the faculty at UCLA, where he is a professor of electrical engineering, public policy, and management, and a visiting professor of law. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution.
