Mary L. Tobin has more than twenty years of leadership development, project management, community engagement, and public speaking experience, with a passion for addressing social justice issues that affect underserved communities. Most recently, she served in the Biden-Harris administration as the senior advisor for wounded warrior, veterans, and military family initiatives for AmeriCorps and she currently serves as the director of programs for the nonprofit More Perfect Union. She has been featured in major news publications for her thought leadership on veterans’ issues and diversity and inclusion, and she has lectured widely on topics including poverty alleviation, equity, and leadership development. She is a combat veteran, having served ten years in the US Army as a communications officer, including two combat tours in Iraq.

Her previous roles include senior project manager for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, President’s Management Council fellow in the Department of Treasury, chief operations officer of the Kids Hope Alliance, and East Region director for The Mission Continues. Tobin is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point and the New York Institute of Technology.
