Chase Koontz

About

Chase Koontz serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Director of the Hoover Institution. In this role, he provides operational leadership to the Director’s Office with an emphasis on new initiatives and programming.

Before joining Hoover, Koontz served as Director of Corporate Services and Special Assistant to the National Chair at the Boy Scouts of America in Dallas, Texas. 

Koontz was born and raised in Indiana prior to earning his BA in government from the College of William & Mary. He and his wife welcomed their first child in May 2021.
