The Hoover Institution hosted the annual winter meeting of its Board of Overseers in Washington, DC, from Sunday, February 27, to Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

In addition to attending committee meetings, overseers engaged with Hoover fellows and leading public officials who assessed the current national policy and political environment. Speakers included Hoover Institution director Condoleezza Rice; director of Hoover Institution Library & Archives Eric Wakin; Morris Arnold and Nona Jean Cox Senior Fellow Amy Zegart; senior fellows David Brady and Douglas Rivers; Shepard Family Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Economics Kevin Warsh; Robert Conquest Curator of Hoover’s Russia and Eurasia collection Anatol Shmelev; professor of Russian history at the University of Pennsylvania Benjamin Nathans; US senators Dan Sullivan and Tim Scott; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell; House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy; former national security advisor Stephen Hadley; and CIA director William Burns.
