Taiwanese vice foreign minister Lyushun Shen visited the Hoover Institution on April 15, 2011, accompanied by Mr. Jack Chiang, director-general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in San Francisco, and Ms. Li-fang Huang, a director at TECO. Hsiao-Ting Lin, research fellow and curator of the East Asian Collection at the Hoover Institution Library and Archives, gave the visitors a tour of the new exhibit A Century of Change: China 1911–2011. Lin showcased the Chinese revolution posters published in Shanghai in 1912, photos of Sun Yat-sen and Yuan Shikai in the early republic, and correspondence among Nationalist Chinese politicians, including Chiang Kai-shek, T.V. Soong, H.H. Kung, Yan Xishan, and Zhang Xueliang.
