A delegation of Chinese foreign affairs scholars led by Qin Yaqing, executive vice president of China Foreign Affairs University and vice president of the China National Association for International Studies, visited the Hoover Institution on May 26. China Foreign Affairs University is one of the leading institutions of higher learning in China with specialties in foreign service, international studies, and international business and law.
The four-member delegation from China met with Hoover fellows John Ciorciari, Larry Diamond, Tai-chun Kuo, Hsiao-ting Lin, Ramon Myers, Henry Rowen, Kori Schake, and Richard Sousa and visiting fellows Wenhua Lin and Heng Zhang in a wide-ranging discussion of Sino-U.S. relations, the effects of the economic crisis in China, U.S.-China trade, recent events in North Korea, cross-strait relations, and environmental issues.
