Hoover has marked its fifth year of collaboration with the American Archive of Public Broadcasting, an organization led by the Library of Congress and WGBH Educational Foundation with the mission to coordinate a national effort to preserve at-risk public media before content is lost to posterity and to provide a centralized web portal for access to unique programming aired by public stations over the past century. To date, Hoover Library & Archives has contributed 6,203 metadata records with links to digitized items hosted on our website, including episodes of the television show Firing Line and lectures from the Commonwealth Club collection. The collaboration has enabled historic public broadcasting content from across the United States to be discoverable and has broadened the audience for Library & Archives collections.
