Xiang Xu

About

Xiang Xu is a Hoover Institution W. Glenn Campbell and Rita Ricardo-Campbell National Fellow for 2017-2018. He is an assistant professor in the School of Economics at the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, China.

Professor Xu’s research focuses on issues in Chinese macroeconomics, global rebalancing, and economic development. His current research examines changes in China’s macroeconomic structure and their impact on the world economy, with a particular focus on China’s economic reform measures and demographic transitions. 

He is a graduate of the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University (BA and PhD), and was a research fellow at the Center for China in the World Economy. He was a visiting research fellow at Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University from 2013 to 2014.
