About

Professor Ilian Mihov is a fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and the Rausing Chaired Professor of Economic and Business Transformation at INSEAD, where he served as dean from 2013 to 2023. His expertise is in macroeconomics with a focus on monetary policy, fiscal policy and economic growth. Currently he is a board member of the Stewardship Asia Center, Think Equal, and Forestry Linked Securities.

At INSEAD, Mihov has been recognized multiple times with the Outstanding Teacher Award. He has delivered lectures on economic growth and monetary policy at events organized by various companies including PwC, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, KPMG, Pictet, Discover card, and many others.

He is a former board chair of the United Nations initiative Principles for Responsible Management Education. He served six years on the Economic Development Board of Singapore and eight years on the board of the Singapore American School. He is also a cofounder and a former vice president of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research. He was a member of the scientific committee of the Banque de France’s Research Foundation, the advisory board of the Bulgarian National Bank, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Fiscal Crises.

Mihov holds a PhD from Princeton University and a BSc in business administration from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where he was recognized as a Distinguished Young Alumnus in 2006. He has also completed the INSEAD International Directors Program. In 2018 he won the UN Women (Singapore Chapter) HeForShe Leader Award for his outstanding service and contributions toward gender equality at INSEAD.
