Nanyang Li

About

Li Nanyang was a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, where she undertook the Library and Archives special project on the historical materials relating to her father Li Rui, a former secretary of Mao Zedong in the mid-1950s. Before joining Hoover in 2014 as a visiting scholar, Li worked as a magnet engineer in CERN, Switzerland. She also engaged in the Superconducting Super Collider Project in Dallas, Texas, and worked for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Stanford Linea Accelerator Center. Her published works include: I Have Such a Mother (Shanghai, 2002), Lonely Wild Goose: Li Rui’s Letters Collection, 1975-1979 (Fort Worth, 2005), Li Rui’s Diary, 3 vols (Fort Worth, 2008), Old Day Letters of my Parents (Guangzhou, 2008), Yu Runquan Letters Collection (Fort Worth, 2009), Li Rui Oral History (Hong Kong, 2013), and My Father Li Rui: Collected Works of Li Nanyang (Hong Kong, 2014).
