The State and Local Governance Initiative at Stanford University's Hoover Institution is hosting its inaugural Conference on Collaborative State & Local Policy Research on January 22nd and 23rd, 2024. The conference will bring together leading public policy researchers with leading civil servants working in municipal, county, and state governments with the objectives of:
1. Sharing insights into successful research partnerships between academics and the public sector;
2. Learning about datasets and cutting-edge research conducted at the state and local levels; and
3. Connecting researchers and practitioners to build a network of support, enable future collaborations, and proliferate best practices across the nation.
The conference will cover two days and feature research on economic and workforce development, criminal justice, taxation, and education topics.
This conference is by invitation only.
