Thomas D. Grant was a National Fellow for the 2013-14 academic year.

He is a senior research fellow of Wolfson College and senior associate of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge. His main teaching areas are public international law and investment arbitration. His research interests include the law of treaties, the law of the sea, international regulation of money laundering, and diplomatic history. He has acted as counsel or assistant counsel in a number of cases before the International Court of Justice and other international dispute settlement organs. He is one of the cofounders and general editors of the Journal of International Dispute Settlement. His published works include Admission of States to the United Nations (Nijhoff, 2009), Recognition of States (Greenwood, 1999), and articles in numerous academic journals. He is a contributing author of the Max-Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law. He received a BA, highest honors, from Harvard (1991), a JD from Yale (1994), and a PhD from Cambridge (2000).
