Radek Paluszynski

Radek Paluszynski was a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution. 

Paluszynski is an associate professor of economics at the University of Houston. He received a PhD from the University of Minnesota and an MA from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland. His research focuses on the problems of time-inconsistent behavior in financial markets, with applications to sovereign debt and default, student loans, and insurance pricing. His latest work studies the changing landscape of financial intermediation in the modern economy; why have traditional banks been in retreat since the 2009 financial crisis; and why are non-banks on the rise. His research points to the role of regulation and the intangible economy in shaping these trends.
