Colonel Josh Gaspard, representing the U.S. Army, is a National Security Affairs Fellow for the academic year 2022-2023 at the Hoover Institution.

Josh commissioned as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in 2002. Over the past 20 years, Josh served in a variety of Command and Staff positions in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawai’i, Italy, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In addition, Josh was an academic instructor at the United States Military Academy at West Point in the Department of Systems Engineering (Operations Management and Supply Chain Management focused). Josh’s most recent assignment was the U.S Army Hawai’i and 25th Infantry Division’s Operations Officer (G3) at Schofield Barracks, Hawai’i.

Colonel Gaspard earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy and two Masters of Science degrees from Columbia University.
