Hoover Institution (Stanford, CA) – The Hoover Institution website has a new look. Refreshed with state-of-the-art technology, contemporary graphic design, and popping imagery, the latest iteration of Hoover.org most importantly elevates the Institution’s mission and its fellowship’s policy research to become the primary focal point for web users.

When visitors land on the main page, they are introduced to Hoover’s eight core institutional priorities, established by Condoleezza Rice during her first year as director. From there they can more intuitively navigate to the latest reports, essays, books, multimedia, and other works created by fellows, as well as additional content in which their scholarship is featured.

The institutional priorities and corresponding descriptions are as follows:

  • Addressing Challenges in Advanced Capitalist Societies
  • Determining America’s Role in the World
  • Revitalizing History
  • Understanding Public Opinion
  • Confronting and Competing with China
  • Understanding the Effects of Technology on Economics and Governance
  • Revitalizing American Institutions
  • Empowering State and Local Governance

The site search engine has been significantly upgraded with advanced filtering capabilities. Library & Archives section has been restructured for robust navigation and searchability, enhancing researchers’ accessibility to its 6,000 collections of personal papers, rare publications, audiovisual records, and other materials.

On the front page, visitors can more directly discover resources provided by Hoover’s research teams and its education platform PolicyEd, its widely viewed broadcasts Uncommon Knowledge and GoodFellows, and other multimedia channels including podcasts, web commentaries, public programming, and institutional news stories.

The revamped website also includes a new edition of its interactive timeline detailing the history of the Institution and enlivened fellow biography pages featuring the full breadth of their published research and analysis.

The website project is managed by the Institution’s marketing department, led by Shana Farley, associate director of marketing and policy education.

The new Hoover.org was designed and engineered by WebEnertia, an award-winning Silicon Valley–based agency that supports clients’ goals to enhance web experiences, develop brand stories, and expand digital marketing footprints.
