The Hoover Institution will host the Conference on the Economics of Immigration on October 31, 2024 - Friday, November 1, 2024. This conference is the inaugural event of the J-P Conte Initiative on Immigration.

Immigration stands at the crossroads of economic transformation, impacting labor markets, innovation, and economic growth in complex ways. By examining a broad spectrum of evidence and perspectives, this conference examines how immigration, historically and presently, shapes economic outcomes through a rigorous analysis of its myriad benefits, challenges, and unintended consequences.
